Obstacle Course Hire in Auckland

Inflatable obstacle courses are the unit to book when the group is big, the age range is wide, or the kids are old enough to be bored by a castle. They keep twenty children moving instead of six, and they run themselves.

The two courses we run

  • 12m x 5m Obstacle Course. The long one. Climbs, squeezes, a slide at the end, and enough width for two children to race side by side. $500 half day, $550 whole day.
  • 13m x 4m Jungle Run Obstacle Course. Narrower and longer, so it fits down the side of a field where the 12m will not. Same price, $500 half day and $550 whole day.

Both are suitable up to 12 years.

How much space you actually need

Take the stated size and add at least a metre at every edge for anchor points and run-off, plus somewhere within lead reach for the blower. For the 12m x 5m that means a clear run of roughly 14m x 7m. Very few back yards in Auckland take one. School fields, club grounds, reserves and large rural sections do.

The ground needs to be flat and free of anything sharp. Grass is ideal. Hard surfaces work but need different anchoring, so tell us in advance what it is going on.

Why two children racing changes the day

A castle is a queue. A course is a race, and that is the whole point. Older children who will not go near a bouncy castle will line up repeatedly for a course against their mates. If you are running an event where you need an activity that eats time and keeps a crowd occupied without an adult driving it, this is the strongest unit we hire.

Supervision

The course wants someone watching it, particularly with a mixed age range where the little ones follow the big ones in. You can staff it yourselves or hire one of our supervisors in four-hour blocks. For school and public events we would always recommend a supervisor rather than a parent roster.

Half day or whole day

A half day covers a normal party or a single session. Take the whole day when the unit needs to be up before an event opens, or where you are running across a morning and an afternoon. The $50 difference is small against the hassle of a tight pack-down.

Delivery across Auckland

Delivery is charged by suburb and shown at checkout. Most of East and South Auckland is $35, the central suburbs are $35 with the CBD at $50, and the outer edges are higher. The charge covers our crew bringing it out, setting it up, anchoring it and returning to pack down.

Booking an obstacle course

There are only two of these in the fleet, so summer weekends and the school gala season book out well ahead. If you have a date, secure it early. Call 0800 859 837 if you want to talk through which course suits your ground.
