Inflatable Hire in Central Auckland

Central Auckland is the hardest part of the city to put an inflatable in, and it is the part we get asked about most. Small sections, shared driveways, villa side access and a lot of apartment and venue bookings. It is all doable, but the constraints are real and it pays to plan around them.

Delivery charges in the central suburbs

Delivery is $35 to Ponsonby, Grey Lynn, Herne Bay, Westmere, Freemans Bay, Mount Eden, Mount Albert, Mount Roskill, Mount Wellington, Epsom, Newmarket, Parnell, Remuera and Grafton. Kingsland is $30. The Auckland CBD and Eden Terrace are $50, which reflects the access and parking rather than the distance.

Access is the thing to check, not the lawn

Out in the suburbs the question is whether the unit fits. In the central suburbs it is usually whether we can physically get it to the spot. The units come rolled and they are heavy. Before you book, walk the route from where a van can legally stop to where the inflatable is going, and check:

  • Gate and side-path width. Under a metre and we will struggle
  • Steps. A few are fine, a full villa staircase down to a rear lawn is not
  • Where the van can stand for fifteen minutes without being towed
  • A power point within reach, or tell us and we will bring a 20m lead

Tell us any of this when you book and we will sort it. Find out on the day and we may not be able to.

Small sections and the units that suit them

A central villa back lawn is often 6m across at best. The 3m x 3m ball pits and the 4m x 4m play parks genuinely fit those spaces, and the basketball game inflatable at 4m x 4m works for older kids where a castle will not go in. The 5m x 4m themed castles need a deliberate look at the ground first.

Halls, venues and apartment common areas

A lot of central bookings are not private homes. Church halls, community centres, school halls and building common rooms all take inflatables happily, but indoors the limit is height, not floor space. Most of the full-size castles need around 4m of clear ceiling. Get the height from the venue before you book and we will tell you what goes under it. The low toddler units clear far less.

Half day or whole day

Everything is priced both ways. A ball pit is $200 for a half day and $250 for the whole day. The Giant Super Slide is $420 and $470. Obstacle courses are $500 and $550. For a two-hour birthday the half day is almost always the right call. For a school or a venue booking where setup has to happen early, take the whole day.

Extras that travel well in town

Face painters and balloon twisters work well in small spaces where a big inflatable will not go, and we book them from 90 minutes up to four hours. Fun food machines, kid-height tables and chairs, bubble machines and the arch photo backdrop are all available alongside.
